Hoggy-warty Hogwarts
One of the slightly more unusual commissions I've done recently: 'I want a picture of Hogwarts where you can see into certain rooms and there needs to be lots of places to hide things'. It's going to be used as a sort of map for a children's treasure hunt, woo.

You get bonus points if you can find the mice..

(And yes I know it's not architecturally correct :P)

Re: Stunning!!
Yay, thank you :)
If you want to find the micey wiceys, look (very, very) closely at where there would be food for miceys...

Aww, thank you :) It's also one of those drawings that would be reeeeeally fun to colour in ;)

Absolutely amazing! You're constantly surprising me with your range, even though I already knew you were incredibly talented and could do more than your regular great artist.

Hurrah for being a renaissance woman! Takes one to know one, hunbunny. Wanna design a helicopter/devise a secret code now?

YES! I would like for my code to be based on marmots.

I plan to finish drafting character descriptions by the end of the month and then send them to you for your feedback and artisticky goodness.

bohemian weasel: Pirates Sulliedbohemian_weasel on 11th June 2007 22:32 (UTC)
I did! Eventually. Thank god it didn't need to be in colour...
(and the squeakies are in the foody place, and they're reeeeeeally small, and there's TWO of 'em...)
hp_family on 11th June 2007 22:50 (UTC)
HeHe!! And I've been wondering....How cool would this be in color?!!! O.O
This is a wonderful piece!!! Although
not architecturally "real", everything looks as it should!! Would love to see close ups of other rooms!!

It's not the techinical wrongness that I meant (though a learnéd engineer looked over my shoulder at the copiers, and without realising I'd drawn this, proclaimed it a 'wonderful example of medieval architecture'. HA!! Nutter).
No, I meant the fact that things aren't where they should be, according to the gospel of JK. ;)
Got mice?

Wow, that is extraordinarily stunning!!! I love all the details. It reminds me of that gothy Gorey art from like the late 1950s and early 1060s.

Oh my god, I've been mentioned in the same sentence as Gorey.
I love you. I do.

That's pretty freaking awesome! Also, I found the mice. Do I get candy?

Only one thing I'd like to point out, it's not architecturally correct. I think that the great hall was about 10 meters to the left. :P

In all seriousness though, that's an awesome work of art. The detail is incredible.

Re: Wow
Ta G-man, or should I call you Neo? Nice shades. ;)
And just for you, I've moved the Great Hall 10 (or rather, 9.83) metres to the left. Happy now?

What an amazing rendering! My 5th grade daughter is working on a book report for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. She wants to make a game board where the players move from room to room. Would you mind if we used your Hogwarts as the background for her game? It is simply wonderful!

Re: Hogwarts
If it's a one-off thing and no money is involved it should be fine. :)
